I am a junior at the University of Minnesota Duluth double majoring in Biology (Cell and Molecular track) and Psychology. I came into college knowing that I wanted to do something genetics related, and after finding the Pre-Genetic Counseling Club and getting involved really solidified my love for genetics and the profession of genetic counseling. I now serve as the president of the organization, and I am excited to see it continue to grow over these next few years. I am also involved through research with other rare disease organizations, and I just completed a human services internship this summer. My main interests within genetics are oncology and neurology related, but I love all aspects of the field, and I'm also interested in the integration of genetics with public health. I plan on pursuing a master's in genetic counseling after I graduate in 2027. Outside of academics, I love to hike and be outside, read, and spend time with my friends and family. I will be working with Dr. Rushing on genetics-related projects including case reports about OCNDS families.
