Divya Singh

Divya is a junior attending Saugus High School with a passion for healthcare advocacy and community engagement. She is currently focused on supporting students with epilepsy within the William S. Hart school district. Through her partnership with Dr. Sunita Dergalust and Ms. Janna Moore, she has begun epilepsy first-aid trainings to teachers and staff members, as well as presented research at the American Epilepsy Society convention in 2024. Beyond epilepsy advocacy, Divya strives to reduce stigma surrounding rare disorders using peer education. She is the founder of her school's monthly medical newsletter, where she collaborates with her research team to produce articles and interactive events that engage and inform the student body. Outside of school, Divya is an avid volunteer with the American Red Cross, accumulating over 100+ hours of service with the organization. In her free time, she enjoys all types of performing, whether it's rehearsing vocals at her local theater or training at her dance studio. Overall, Divya's mission is to uplift her community and support underserved populations through education, research, and service. She will be working with Dr. Rushing to develop patient and family resources.
