Koko Crawford

Koko is a fourth-year anthropology student at UCLA with a strong passion for disability advocacy and genetic counseling. Throughout her time on campus, she has been active in several organizations dedicated to these areas and currently serves as co-president of UCLA’s Genetic Counseling Student Interest Group. During her internship with Johns Hopkins University, she redesigned the cardiovascular genetics pre-questionnaire for patients, an experience that gave her meaningful insight into the importance of accessibility in clinical care. She plans to begin a genetic counseling program in Fall 2026. Through her background as an anthropology major, Koko is especially interested in the intersection of culture and medicine, expanding access to genetic testing, and supporting community-focused clinical outreach. In her free time, she enjoys solving Sudoku puzzles, drawing, and spending time with friends.
